If you’re considering booking a retreat and looking for a way to step outside your comfort zone, this is the universe saying: here’s your chance - go for it! I have traveled solo and with groups, but I was looking for a more meaningful way to celebrate a new chapter in my life and initiate a shift in perspective that I knew I was needing. This is not just any tour: you are signing yourself up for an experience, to learn, to grow, to travel responsibly in the community you are visiting... and to do all of it with a new community you build along the way. And no better place to do this than “Gitana Del Mar in Colombia - to be completely immersed in natural beauty, in a hidden spot on the caribbean coast, with some of the best food I have ever tasted, plus fellow travelers with open hearts, listening souls, and stories of their own to share - it was magical. Have you ever wanted more from your travel experiences? To understand the places you are seeing, connect with culture, and make sure you’re supporting locals? Are you seeking adventure but can’t convince your friends to come with? El Camino is for you!”

“I don't even know where to begin! I traveled with El Camino Travel on the Outrage Fatigue trip to Gitana Del Mar in August and it was everything I had imagined - and more! All of the logistics were taken care of and the littlest details were not lost on the El Camino crew. From packing lists and gift bags to airport pick ups and daily activities, everything was organized to make sure that we could spend our time creating memories and enjoying the moment. Gitana was also totally surreal - the mountain-ocean sunset backdrops were breathtaking, the food was deliciously mouthwatering and fresh, and everything provided - from yoga to Kudalini to massages to an incredibly special ceremony with an indigenous tribe - was unique and one-of-a-kind. I can't recommend this experience and Gitana enough.”

“I went on the Palomino Outrage Retreat trip last month. It was very well organized and perfectly curated. All the activities were things I would have wanted to plan for myself but it would have been impossible to do on my own. We visited secluded, beautiful places that I would not have been able to access as a tourist or would have taken hours of research. This was the first time I had paid for an organized trip like this and I completely see the value. The people on the trip were great and the food was delicious!”

“I highly recommend El Camino Travel, whether you’re a solo traveler or coming along with a companion. This was an amazing experience! I was part of the Outrage Fatigue Retreat group in August. We stayed at Gitana Del Mar in Palomino, Colombia. Katalina and her team orchestrated a very thoughtful and fun itinerary. It was a mix of adventure, relaxation, connecting with the community, the Colombian culture and nature. This trip was well organized; they planned everything. They handled all airport transfers, accommodations, activities and food. Leading up to the trip, they answered questions I had in a timely fashion, took the time to learn about me prior to the trip, and even followed up with helpful information to prepare me for the experience. They even sent me a check-list to make sure I was prepared for the adventure.

Once in Colombia I felt at ease. This was my first solo trip, so at first I was hesitant about traveling alone and meeting other people, but El Camino Travel made me feel safe, comfortable and welcomed. They found a way to engage and include everyone.

The resort was wonderful, a dreamy paradise, with beautiful lush grounds, lovely music playing in the background, fresh delicious food and a very attentive staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate me when I was mistakingly double booked for a massage. They worked around our group schedule to ensure I experienced a massage, and it did not disappoint! I find myself day dreaming of this place.

The Outrage Fatigue Retreat allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, into a country, filled with rich culture, beautiful landscapes, and great people. It fulfilled my need to de-stress, the urge to have fun, and be adventurous. Most importantly, I came back feeling refreshed, grounded with nature and connected to people I met along the way...did I mention all the great photos captured by the photographer?! I’ll have these memories for ever.

This experience was truly special. I can’t wait do it again...El Camino Travel way! BTW, I already booked my next adventure!!!”

“I recently traveled with El Camino to Palomino Colombia on the Outrage Fatigue trip. We stayed at the stunning Gitana del Mar, and I did not want to leave! First of all, let's talk about the food. The food is michelin star quality in the middle of the jungle. Every meal was better than the next, and I truly could taste each local ingredient sourced for our meals. Secondly, the El Camino team was meticulous in their attention to detail for every moment of the trip while also incorporating some downtime for self reflection. It was the perfect mix of adventure, meeting other like-minded travelers and relaxation. Back in New York City, I wish I was on my hammock at Gitana Del Mar fresh from an outdoor excursion. Highly recommend El Camino Travel to all looking to unplug, meet dynamic individuals and learn about new cultures.”
